Internally displaced Ukrainians in Boryslavsk TС received humanitarian aid

On September 6, the ForestCom NGO together with representatives of the Boryslav tutorial community met with IDPs living in the community and handed over humanitarian aid kits.

"Without doubts, all IDPs need support and assistance, and the assistance of the LIiS NGO is very important for them. Most of the displaced people are in a difficult financial situation, and one-time assistance [ed. financial] that they receive - does not cover the cost of all basic human needs. Therefore, we are grateful to your organization for supporting and helping people who need it", - Ella Kachmarik, head of the education department of the Boryslav City Council.

Most of the IDPs living in Boryslav tutorial community have found work and do not need outside assistance. However, we should not forget about the elderly people and those who cannot take care of themselves.

The project "Ensuring the humanitarian needs of IDPs over the age of 30" with the support of the "Union for Action" program will continue until November. During this time, the ForestCom NGO will visit IDPs in Shchyretsk, Boryslav, Zolochiv and Zhuravnen communities of Lviv region several times and will hand over aid. It is planned to cover the urgent needs of about one and a half thousand people within the framework of the project.
