Objective: Cooperate with law enforcement agencies institutions for forensic research of wood samples.

The project provides expert support. A new scientific timber identification laboratory is planned to be established in western part of Ukraine, in the city of Lviv. The laboratory is planned to be used for Law Enforcement investigative purposes during wood sample testing on the identification of wood origin from Ukraine or neighboring countries. The laboratory would be situated on the Ukrainian National Forestry University grounds, which is a lead for this working package. 

Law Enforcement Authorities could share its investigative wood samples with the new Lab in order to test and verify appropriate equipment working parameters, wood sample research results, and build up the local, national and Eastern Europe models. The results of the wood sample analysis are planned to be used by Law Enforcement investigative purposes further by national agencies.
