Objective: Promote conservation and increase of biodiversity in forests with the involvement of experience of foresters.
During the project ForestCom experts will study the possibility of influencing the processes of reforestation and afforestation in order to promote the use of a wide range of natural forest species, reforestation using close to natural concept. ForestCom expert will review the forest owners' forest management reforestation projects for biodiversity protection, prepare and share the reports with identified areas of concern, and initiate an open discussion of the possible solutions. Specific focus will be paid to the importance of biodiversity protection during reforestation and problems the invasive species bear on the natural ecosystems.
