Family history of IDP Serhii Gakal from Sloviansk
Serhiy Hakalo is a father of three children who was forced to move with his family from Sloviansk to the Boryslav territorial community in the Lviv region.
At first, the family moved from Kharkiv to Slovyansk and lived there for 3.5 months with hope that this place would be peaceful and safe , but at the end they decided to move to the west of Ukraine. The Hakalo family lives in a hostel in Boryslav and they will not return home in the near future due to the danger.
"We have only been living in Boryslav for a month, we are still adapting. I'm not working yet, so we need food, clothes and medicine. Help from the LIiS NGO and the United for Action program is important for us". - says Serhiy.
Serhiy Hakal's family is grateful to ForestCom NGO and the "Union for Action" program for their support and help in this difficult time. The project "Ensuring the humanitarian needs of IDPs aged 30 and over" is ongoing. During the implementation of the project, internally displaced Ukrainians will receive hand-to-hand assistance in the Boryslav, Zolochiv, Zhuravnen, and Shchyretsky territorial communities of the Lviv region.
