Christmas decorations made from eco-friendly materials

On Saturday, December 11, in Lviv, the ForestCom held a volunteer event "Christmas decorations made from eco-friendly materials." Our expert Taras Kharachko with a volunteer and a florist expert Iryna Sid gathered a lot of children interested in making the Christmas decorations themselves. 

Iryna held a wonderful master-class in making products from cones, teaching both children and adults to make beautiful Christmas decorations using natural materials. 

Our master-class was located in the beautiful courtyard of the Student Church of St.Volodymyr. The participants enjoyed working there on a lovely sunny and frosty day. The boys who have learned how to make decorations, ran to play snowballs, and the girls knitted different bows from ribbons, while asking Iryna Sid about the secrets of making her original Christmas trees from cones and vines.

Each of the participants took home a piece of a beautiful Christmas mood, as well as new skills and knowledge of working with eco-friendly materials. Some of the decorations were hung up on a Christmas tree near the church.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the volunteer event. The next meeting is planned for Saturday, 25 December.
