Green Journeys: ForestComSupporting Veteran and Family Recovery

The aim of this project is to facilitate the psychological recovery and social adaptation of veterans and their families through nature-based therapeutic activities in forest environments.

Project Goals:

1. Conduct a series of day trips to natural locations for veterans and their families.

2. Utilize forest therapy methods, scientifically proven to reduce anxiety, stress, and symptoms of PTSD.

3. Provide support from qualified specialists – psychologists, forest ecologists.

4. Create a safe space for communication, support, and socialization among participants, including family activities and therapeutic discussions.

5. Develop tailored event formats to meet the needs of different participant groups (veterans without children, families with children, young adults).

The direct beneficiaries of the project are war veterans and their family members. Indirect beneficiaries include organizations supporting veterans, mental health professionals, community initiatives involved in reintegration and recovery efforts.

Expected Outcomes:

*   Improved emotional well-being and reduced stress levels among participants.

*   Strengthened social connections among veterans and their families.

*   Cultivation of a mindful approach to one's own physical and mental health.
