Modernizing master programs to support forest sector transformation towards Ukraine’s post-war green rebuilding – ForestPost
The NGO "ForestCom" is an associated member of the project "Modernizing master programs to support forest sector transformation towards Ukraine’s post-war green rebuilding
(ForestPost)."
ForestPost is a three-year international project under the Erasmus+ (CBHE) program. It aims to create a platform for the green recovery of Ukraine's forestry sector, strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and businesses, and cultivate a new generation of specialists – "agents of change" – in the field of sustainable natural resource management.

Project Objectives:
The primary objective is to foster synergy between higher education institutions and businesses/organizations within the forestry sector to collaboratively contribute to Ukraine's green post-war reconstruction. This will be achieved through the implementation of new academic disciplines based on dual education approaches, considering the most pressing global and national challenges facing the forestry sector and the need for students to acquire green skills.
A key component of the project is close collaboration with employers and the continued implementation of the dual education approach. Within the new academic disciplines, students will spend 27% of their learning time at businesses and organizations in the forestry sector. Among the 33 associated partners are state forestry enterprises, private furniture and woodworking companies, research institutions, and non-governmental organizations.
Beyond the practical aspects of developing collaboration with employers, the project is visionary in its essence. The acronym ForestPost, comprised of "Forest" and "Post" (referring to a specific place where someone works or a position of duty), emphasizes that "everyone holds their post," meaning each sector of the economy makes a unique contribution to Ukraine's post-war reconstruction based on the principles of sustainable development.
NGO "ForesCom" is participating as an associated partner in one of the six work packages:
- Work Package 6 (WP6) – "Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Evaluation" as part of the Erasmus+ ForestPOST project. WP6 is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance, monitoring, and evaluation processes throughout the project's duration. It is led by the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development with the participation of all partners, including associated partners: https://forestpost.org/work-packages/#wp6
