Did you know that dead wood is an integral part of the forest? It enables the existence of various groups of creatures, and also affects reforestation and the process of soil formation.


Historically, the practice of Ukrainian forestry was dominated by a negative attitude towards dead wood. Only in recent years has the awareness of the ecological role of dead wood in forests changed in the public eye.


Volodymyr Yarotskyi, an expert in eco-education, study and protection of biodiversity, will talk about the value of dead wood in a webinar titled, "Dead wood and its role for forest biodiversity".
