Launch of the Project 'ForestCom with IDPs: Forest for IDPs'
The project, titled "ForestCom with IDPs: Forest for IDPs’," aims to help integrate those who have been forced to leave their homes, towns, and villages due to the war into the Lviv community. By doing so, it aims to strengthen the social cohesion of the Lviv community. The project aims to create conditions for dialogue and closer connections between IDPs and local residents through collaborative work and participation in environmental education activities. As part of the project, local residents and IDPs will join forces to address the issue of greening the city of Lviv. Together, they will plant 100 trees in the territory of the Regional Landscape Park "Znesinnya," an important historical and natural recreational infrastructure in the city.
We are delighted to have Regional Landscape Park "Znesinnya" as our partner for the project. The NGO "ForestCom” has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Park, and together we have coordinated efforts to address the issue of greening Lviv through collaborative work and environmental education activities involving IDPs and local residents.
Integration, socialization, and giving people the opportunity to be involved in the work and life of the community are crucial tasks today. Creating shared content and a sense of unity, breaking down barriers between "us" and "them" is something we must all work on together.
