Eco-volunteering event "Preserving the Unique Steppes in the Northern Podillya National Nature Park”
The eco-volunteering event "Preserving the Unique Steppes in the Northern Podillya National Nature Park” took place on August 2nd.
Despite the rough weather, morning rain, gloomy sky, mud-soaked feet, and sticky dirt road, the eco-volunteering event under the slogan "Preserving the Unique Steppe Islands in the Northern Podillya National Park" took place. "Neither heat nor cold will stop you!". It was almost like in the poem of Kamenyar.
Moreover, the event left a deep sense of belonging to a great community, where every step, every action brings satisfaction from the results of the work, fills with energy, inspires and motivates not only ourselves but others as well, thus creating valuable memories.
Thanks to the co-organizers, Taras Kharachko and Ihor Skolskyi, the experts from the NGO ForestСom, as well as the staff of the Northern Podillya National Park, leading by Myroslava Pylypchuk, caring volunteers were able to contribute to the restoration of rare steppe islands in the park.
This park is home to many endemic, rare, and endangered plant species. However, the natural regeneration of woody plants poses a threat to the growth of steppe vegetation, including endangered species. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of conservationists and volunteers, a significant contribution has been made to the preservation of this unique plant life.
We invite everyone who feels the strength and motivation within themselves to join our events: https://forestcom.org.ua/volonterska-platforma
Volunteering is not only an opportunity to do something good for nature but also a chance to find oneself, develop skills, and meet like-minded individuals.

This event was organized by the NGO Forestcom as part of the project "Combatting Illegal Logging in Ukraine" with the support of the International Programs Office of the United States Forest Service.
