World Wildlife Day

Today is World Wildlife Day, which is celebrated on March 3 every year.

 

The main aim of this day is to raise awareness of the world's wild animals and plants and to remind about the need to strengthen the fight against wildlife crimes.

Besides, for more than a year, the Russian military has continued to commit crimes against Ukrainian nature. The Russians destroy nature reserves, mine forests and seas, and kill entire populations of wild animals. According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, 2,300 cases of damage were recorded during the 11 months of the war. The amount of losses already reaches more than 46 billion US dollars. At the same time, some types of damage are impossible to calculate.

We believe that we will win and return our territories, rebuild our cities. Our nature will also recover as soon as possible.
